Meet Leah Tankersley

Leah Tankersley

Meet Leah Tankersley. She is Aalberts surface technologies-accurate brazing’s Marketing Manager and is based in Greenville, South Carolina.

Leah has been part of the team here for over a year and a half. Prior to coming on board, she worked for Accurate Brazing, but at Emanate Brands managing the company’s marketing and branding efforts. “Being part of the branding agency team gave me a chance to learn about the industry, shape communication strategy, and support marketing efforts for years before coming in-house in 2021.”

She has always had a passion for marketing, PR, and advertising. One of her first jobs was working for the SC Textile Association while in college, honing her project management and PR skills. She even worked as a summer intern for Senator Strom Thurmond in Washington DC when she thought a career on Capitol Hill might be fun. After earning her degree from the University of SC, she worked for regional advertising agencies on a variety of accounts ranging from Coca-Cola to telecom. From there she opened her own consulting firm and managed serval long-term clients in healthcare, banking, and industrial products.

“Working on a diverse portfolio of businesses and in a variety of roles throughout the years has given me a unique perspective and a wide range of skills that have all converged into my current position at AST-accurate brazing. Working at small agencies and as an extension of corporate marketing departments also taught me the importance of entrepreneurship and teamwork. I am always willing to jump in and wear a variety of hats to get done whatever task is in front of me. But most importantly, I’ve learned that we must have clear communication and common goals to have successful outcomes.”

Leah is a Greenville native and is very proud of her hometown. “Greenville has grown into an incredible little city. I am so grateful to call it home and to have raised my family here. It is truly a special place.”

Outside of the office, you will most likely find her hanging out with her tight-knit group of neighbors, trying to keep up with her grown kids, hitting her favorite downtown spots, or planning her next travel adventure.
